acpica-tools software package provides ACPICA tools for the development and debug of ACPI tables, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install acpica-tools
acpica-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the acpica-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep acpica-tools *
You will get with acpica-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
